Dear Members, As you probably know, Alberta Health Services has issued new targeted public health measures to protect the health system and limit the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. One of these targeted measures is a ban on group fitness classes and team sports. Thankfully, gymnastics is considered an individual sport under this classification. Recreational, Competitive and Playschool classes will remain open and operate as usual, while continuing to follow our Return To Play plan and COVID-19 safety protocols We have been humbled by the support and trust you have placed in us. This is such an uncertain time, but we are so proud of our athletes, their families and our team. Everyone is working so hard to follow our safety guidelines and your efforts are noticed and appreciated - thank you for your continued support!
Dear Members, Firstly, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your trust in Spruce Grove Aerials Gymnastics. As a not for profit, we are ever so grateful, as it is your support that has kept our doors open and we have done our best to keep you and your athlete safe while you are here. As we transition through stages, we need to be mindful that Aerials is in a leased facility (BPAC) and we must also adhere to the City of Spruce Grove protocols. The Border Paving Athletic Centre (BPAC) opened back up in July 2020 where we were able to have our competitive athletes train during the day, Monday – Friday. On September 1, 2020, the facility opened to full operations including the 2nd floor open space viewing. The 2nd floor window viewing is closed (indicated by signs on glass and stanchions around the stools) in an effort to remain at arms length from the City of Spruce Grove Recreational Team. If the City were to have an outbreak of COVID, if we remain separate, Aerials gymnastics would not have to close and visa versa, so it is imperative that the viewing through the glass remains closed and is only a walkway to the open viewing through the doors. In the open viewing area, I would like to remind all members of the guidelines: It has been a privilege for our families to have viewing, (many clubs in Alberta have not opened viewing yet) and I know through your support, we can ensure the safety for all, and keep the viewing open. If we are unable to adhere, further measures may be taken for the safety of all in the facility. I applaud the City in their efforts at the BPAC and it has been wonderful working with them through COVID. I know that if we all work together, we will see success within the facility. I thank you in advance for your cooperation on this and if you have any concerns or questions, please direct them to myself at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Be safe. Stay Healthy Lindsay Dear Members, We are so excited to be included in AHS Phase 2 for re-opening in Alberta! But what does this mean for Aerials Gymnastics? Aerials Gymnastics, as a member of Alberta Gymnastics and located in the BPAC, a City owned facility, has many protocols that we are adhering to that will keep your athlete safe and give you, the parents, the peace of mind you need! We are opening in our own phases to ensure the safety of our community. Phase 1 is July and August where our competitive team will train during the day in the gym. Please check out our AGF (Alberta Gymnastic Federation) approved Return to Play Plan and video under the COVID-19 tab on this website.
For those of you that are looking for new options, we are also offering KPL (Kids Physical Literacy) online Zoom classes in conjunction with Inspire Sports. This is a great alternative to keep your children active and moving right in your own home! Please click here for KPL Information. Phase 2 will start in September, where we will be ready for you! Of course this is dependant on Alberta Health Service, Alberta Gymnastics and the City of Spruce Grove. Your children are our priority and we have a robust Return to Play document and video that defines our Safety Guidelines for July and August. These documents will be updated as per the Fall protocols, but please feel free to check back here often for updates! We miss you and can’t wait to see you!
