Welcome to Spruce Grove Aerials (SGA) Gymnastics Club

About Us

Spruce Grove Aerials Gymnastics Club is a non-profit society, proudly serving the community since 1982. Incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta, we are committed to promoting fitness, fun, and confidence through the sport of gymnastics.

Our Mission

“Through the sport of gymnastics, we promote fitness, fun, and confidence for the children in our community.”

Guiding Values

We believe that gymnastics should be a positive experience, helping each child build character and reach their full potential. Our values emphasize discipline, respect, and encouragement for all staff, members, and participants. We aim to develop exceptional athletes who love gymnastics for life, fostering a strong work ethic, perseverance, good sportsmanship, and a competitive spirit. Our goal is to coach every athlete to achieve their individual goals and support their growth, hoping they become valued community members through the lessons learned in gymnastics.

Our Programs

Aerials Gymnastics Playschool:
Our playschool embraces “learning through play,” combining traditional playschool activities with gymnastics. This unique program enriches children’s play, helping them learn cooperation, problem-solving, language, mathematics, and creative self-expression. Children develop curiosity, self-esteem, strength, coordination, self-direction, and values in a supportive environment.

Recreational Gymnastics:
Our recreational gymnastics program runs in five 2-month sessions starting in September. AGF trained and certified coaches guide athletes through 15-minute rotations across various gymnastics equipment. Each class is designed to promote movement, embrace challenges, and build resilience, empowering young minds to flourish in all aspects of life.

Competitive Programs:
Our competitive gymnastics programs are tailored for athletes with exceptional talent and competitive drive. Gymnasts are placed in programs that best suit their skill levels and goals. As they progress, they face higher demands for difficulty and increased time commitments. Our coaches create appropriate training schedules based on the age, skill, and level of each gymnast. SGA athletes embody hard work, discipline, and commitment, proudly representing Aerials at competitive levels.

Our Facilities

We lease space within the Border Paving Athletic Centre from the City of Spruce Grove. Our gymnasium spans over 17,000 square feet in the Ken Morrison Gymnasium. We also have a dedicated playschool room and additional program rooms to support our diverse range of activities.

Get Involved

Every May, our members elect a volunteer Board of Directors at our Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is open to all SGA families, and we encourage everyone to attend, vote, or run for a position. Our club is managed by a dedicated paid staff, including an executive director, program directors, coaches, and office personnel, who ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our facility.

Our coaches and administrators are highly skilled, uphold impeccable safety standards and go above & beyond to ensure your experience is exceptional
